I’m a struggling “jeweler” trying to figure out how to make a
living doing this. I have an art degree with an emphasis in
metalsmithing. Art school was very big on broad ideas and very,
very light on techniques. I hope this site can help me out.

Good luck. A lot of us are in that same boat. The trouble is
that you really need two degrees. The art degree, either MFA or
BFA, or whatever,

And an MBA in business administration to show you how to make a
living at it…

Keep at it. It isn’t easy, but it can be done.
