In 1995, the Cottage Industry Technology Center, a government
owned corporation attached to the Department of Trade and
Industry, and the Guild of Philippines Jewellers, Inc., a
private sector recognized as the export champion on fine jewelry,
established the country’s first-ever fully equipped jewelry
training center to help address the technology and manpower
requirements of the industry sector. The Center offers
specialized training as well as skills development program for
workers, supervisors and trainers.
