Collecting rocks since childhood led to learning lapidary. If you cut
stones you have to learn metalsmithing. So for nearly 25 years I have
been a designer/jeweler/lapidarist producing one-of-a-kind pieces.
Over the years I have won about 30 awards at art and art and craft
shows and exhibits. I cut about 85 % of the stones I use and work
primarily in silver with some gold applique. I occasionally teach as
an adjunct and will be an instructor at Wm. Holland School of
Lapidary Arts in 2006. A current interest is making metal vessels
and sculptures.
