Hello,
My name is Nancy McDonald. I recently completed my basic training in
silversmithing from a very talented man by the name of Bill Churliks
in Asheville, North Carolina. I have some great ideas for silver and
gold pendents, rings and pins and will be taking the next course
with him in a few short weeks. I look forward to talking with some
of you and sharing experinces and techniques!!

Thank you for the good words! Welcome to Orchid. We will inform you,
intrigue you, and irritate you, often all at the same time. What a
great group of people. The wealth of experience to be found here is
beyond belief. If you recall what I said about spaces in the crystal
structure of the metal when we annealed the wire, go back and read
Jim Binnion’s post about purple gold.
That was an eye opener for me. In spite of the problems, I am just
going to have to try this stuff soon. This is what Orchid is all
about.
