I freeze when I see the words “About Myself”, not know how to
describe ME accuately. I’m foremost a mom, with about a thousand job
titles. I fell in love with jewelry making about 10 yrs ago, attend
as many classes as I can and started a business on the side. My main
focus is hand patina’d jewelry with found objects and collaged
pieces. A big bucket of rusty findings excites me more than a trip to
Tiffany’s!! I like to incorporate the unusual with the traditional,
working out the design as I go. Each step has to feel right as I
work, just not look right in a sketch.

I have recently been introduced to lost wax casting and will be
incorporating that into my jewelry deisgns. I study with a
magnificent teacher Maggie S. who really helps me to fulfill the
vision in my head, with the technical part of jewelry making.

My small business is a tribute to Hospice (a unit in our city is on
the sixth floor of a hospital) and a portion of each sale is donated
to LifeTime Care-Hospice Division in Rochester NY.

what a wonderful idea. as someone who just entered hospice in
march, and not knowing what to expect, i’m finding wonderful people
within the program. mine is done in home, so that may make things
easier as well… well done
