I am 28 and I have been into anything creative for all of my life.
Jewelry caught my attention when I was about 9 or 10 and I have been
working through methods of creating it ever since. I have done
beading, beadweaving, soldering, wirewrapping, etc, but i am not an
expert by any means at any one thing. I hope to learn more about
metalsmithing and soon set up my studio with the necessary equipment
for it. I am in the process right now of promoting my business,
SugarBead Designs, which is selling my handcrafted jewelry. I also
sell vintage clothing and antiques on Ebay, as well as oil and
acrylic fine paintings. My husband and I are starting a handyman
service in the small community in which we live, so we are learning
what it is like to be entreprenuers. I spent 5 1/2 years in the IT
industry, looking longingly at my studio door, and finally, my
husband and I decided to move to the country. I waved goodbye to
the ratrace, and now I live 10 miles from the nearest town, which
has a population of 300. I love the privacy of this remote home of
ours and am excited to continue my focus on my love for creation.
