I have been a metalsmith for almost 30 years. Being mostly self taught I
learned the beginning techniques from the Silversmiths in Mexico and
Navajo Silversmiths. I do some custom work but am presently very busy
filling wholesale accounts in Wyoming, Arizona,and Utah. My designs are
executed in 18, 20, and 22K gold. Most of the designs are contemporary
with a Scandanavian look I am told. I am also a lapidary so I cut a wide
range of gems to fit my designs. Lately I have been using black opal from
Australia as well as their boulder opal. It is a very addictive material
to cut and use. Each piece I cut is a mystery at the beginning and if all
goes well I have a gem worth setting in gold.
