Internal adjustable ring to make a piece one size?

Hi folks,

I’m making a ring from base metal that I’d like to make a one-size
to fit most… I’ve seen rings where they’re made at a big size and
then there is a piece soldered inside the shank that looks like a
round metal wire that doesn’t form a full circle (it’s open at the
top) and it’s flexible/adjustable so the customer can make it bigger
or smaller depending on her ring size. Does anyone happen to know
what this is called and/or where I can get it?

I’ve included links to images of a few rings by Kenneth Jay Lane
where this is visible:

Installing an Adjustable Shank
by Alan Revere

I call it a round metal wire that doesn’t form a full circle
soldered inside the shank. I would make it. It’s just a round metal
wire.

I think you would just make it yourself, since it must be soldered
into the ring. It’s just a piece of flattened wire, IMHO.
