I know that many think about constructing their own workshop outside
of their home, but there are many stumbling blocks.
I just noticed that the North Bennet Street School in Boston is
looking for projects for their "Carpentry students work in the field
on residential projects in the greater-Boston area" program.

under their full time carpentry program and is entitled "Carpentry
Projects for Clients". Essentially, it's highly skilled, low paid
labor by very crafty student artists.
(No interest in the NBSS except the fact I'm taking an engraving class
there in March)
