Ideas/Techniques on re-flattening sheet metal after working it?

I purchased a “bangle flattener” on the Bay; it’s very similar to the Durston planishing press but the anvils are 3-4 inches in diameter. I am very happy with it and it was very reasonably priced. I put my piece on the bottom anvil, and give it a few whacks and it’s flat. It was a good purchase. Much better than the rawhide hammer and a bench block.

I get the best results using a 35 lb anvil and an 8lb plastic dead blow hammer from Harbor Freight.
