Hey everyone,
I need to get some domed blanks for my enamel work. Would anyone be
interested in doming some pieces if I provided pre-cut templates and
fine silver blanks? I just can’t afford to lay out the money for my
own press right now.
Please let me know how much you would charge. I am looking for
somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 pieces.

PS I live in Massachusetts and work in Boston. So if you are in my
neck of the woods, I would gladly drop off and pick up if that was
more convenient.

Margaret, I have a press and could do this. But what exactly do you
mean by pre cut templates? I understand the blanks, do you need them
cut out and then domed?

Hi, Margaret, This is not what you asked for, but I thought I’d pass
along…
Neither I nor the studios where I teach has a press, but I’ve done
quite well making two-part dies out of Jett Sett or equivalent and
squashing them (and metal) in a vice. Tedious compared to a press,
but always there, and very little invesrment. HTH!
