Here’s a funny one. A young part-time tour guide was asked why the
akoya and tahitian pearl strands on display had purple tassles.
Rather than say it was just for presentation, she said it was
customary for “graduation” gifts to have the purple tassles!
Oh, to get that kind of graduation gift!
