HPHT process of Diamond Coloration

hi all! I want to know more about "High Pressure High Temperature"
diamond coloration. Here are few quick questions;

Do jewelers in US send clear ones for the processing?

What is the price of colored diamonds after value addition?

Do they also use HPHT for removing inclusions and other defects?

Can anyone here give me per carat rates and the market demand/ fad
worldwide?

I am quite hungry for the on this subject…please
enlighten!

Diamonds are ususally colored when they have alot of natural color
and they want to change it from brown to something nice, Blue,
yellow, pink and green, several companies do it, but alot of it is
done with really expensive equipment, and you are rolling the dice on
what you get, it may come out nice it may come out ugly. from what i
understand alot come out junk, if you are in India you should be
able to find some in Japor (Sp?) if you are thinking of doing it
yourself, good luck, expect alot of failure, yes they use clear ones
and sometimes HPHT can cause inclusions to heal or disappear. but i
do say sometimes and alot of coloring is done with Nuclear Piles and
Van De Graf genrators, high tech stuff that will kill you if you do
it wrong, but hey i am sure North Korea has some working reactors
that you could borrow (joke) if you want more info i will dig up the
paperwork i have and email you more

Thanks a lot for suggesting useful resources for more on
this topic. I searched articles, downloaded and found them quite
informative. I feel at this point essential to tell you my background
then ask few questions.

I am into NGO sector and gearing-up to open a Training Cum
Production Centre for Underprivileged in India. Income Generation for
them is the basic idea behind this. We are planning to do contract
faceting using the manpower trained by us. More on this topic in my
future postings.

I knew nothing except few basics of diamonds till recently but I
came across one renowned scientist in a Gem Workshop. I was advised
to explore diamond cutting and get them colored or upgrade using the
existing lab (Non-commercial) facilities. I saw the research samples
produced and was impressed to decide further exploration.

Please advise me as to how proceed further into this business.

The process is established No trials and errors invloved but only
matter of creating new diamond colors.

Being new, I would love to join hands with someone on this list and
do kind of Market research and business.
