I did a google search and from what little I could see there, I was
wondering if you are originally from Denmark? I learned my jewelry
technique in Norway where I lived for 14 years.

As to your metalsmith/Designer, I would guess it’s going to depend
on whether you need someone living in the area where you are, or if
you are looking for a freelancer who could live anywhere. I’m sure
you will get a fair number of responses on Orchid as well. Perhaps
you should post a more specific note regarding what you are looking
for? You can also try SNAG (society for N. American Goldsmiths) and
there are a number of job sites where you can search through posted
resumes.

Well, I think you have made a good start here at the Orchid to find
a metal smith and a jewelry designer.

I would go through the Orchid Gallery and start with an artist’s
style & workmanship. If you see someones work that appeals to you,
then contact that person and get the ball rolling. If you like their
style, workmanship and ideas once you have expressed your needs to
them…then you may have found your artist.

Although I am not in the Orchid Gallery, I personally would like to
throw in my hat as a possible candidate.
