Heads up on gold plating

Can anyone give me a heads up on Gold plating ? I’m thinking I would
like to use it on some of my silver works but would like to make sure
of getting a thicker coating for durability. Also can anyone
recommend a reputable plating service with reasonable pricing in the
USA

They’re third generation platers, good prices, great results, really
know what they’re doing.

Anytime I’ve had to plate jewelry I’ve gotten from two to five
microns of gold applied.
