I previously sent a email with regards to flush cutters I purchased
at Harbor Freight for $2. They are not all made the same. I used one
pair for months and thought it was the greatest thing. Just recently
I put the pair I was using at a students desk and opened a new one.
It didnt cut the same as the first one. Still great for the price,
and cuts very flush, but choose your battles with this one. Great
with wire, not good for thin sheet. I would still recommend these
pliers for the price. And I am using my Lindstroms more these days.

You’ve just discovered the most consistent thing about Harbor
Freight, INCONSISTENCY.
If you think you’ll need more than 1 of an item from HF, it’s best to
buy them all at the same time. That way if the quality meets your
requirements they’re all apt to be from the same batch & quality.
Even then, it pays to inspect each unit carefully.
Something told me this could happen which is why I decided to buy 5
of them. I checked each to make sure they were all made in the same
lot and they all seem fine. Now I have more than enough to handle all
different metals. You’re right, Steven, they are a GREAT bargain and
better than my more expensive pair.
