Grainy Flux?

I have used Grifflux or Dandix for years. I am wondering why does it go to a grainy consistency over time. When new it is really nice and creamy white. Sometimes when it gets too thick from evaporation I add a bit of distilled water to thin it up, but after awhile it is no longer smooth.

Evaporation. It’s always done that. I just add distilled water and give it a little shake.


I’ve had that problem, too. Distilled water and gently grinding /mashing down the lumps. Now I use small mini containers with tight sealing lids for everyday flux and keep the original master container isolated and uncontaminated. I refill as needed.
