I think I’d start my search at Corning Glassworks in Corning, New
York. I’m sure someone there could head you in a direction -
hopefully the right one! Anyhoo, people are pretty nice and try to
be helpful in that part of the world anyway!

You might try a scientific equipment company. I buy glass rod from
my local one. I believe they do custom glass-blowing for
laboratories, and so would be able to blow an hourglass. Check your
yellow pages.

you. They might have a glass blowing studio.
