Gem Trees

Does anyone have any about where I can find
instructions for making wire gem trees? Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks Sylgy

I make gem trees and have never used any books. There are some
that I have seen, I belive that I saw them in a Fire Mountain
catalog. I’m having trouble with my scanner or I would send you
a few drawings. If you want to send me your address and I’ll
send them snail mail. Silverbear Rocks to

Does anyone have any about where I can find
instructions for making wire gem trees?

Hello, Sylgy! the only wire trees i have seen recently were,
basically, twisted wire (2 dozen) about 22ga., with the ends
having stone chips glued to them, and the roots sprawling out on
a cluster. a more ornate tree i saw at Kitchener’s Christkindl
Markt, a beautiful piece, but not entirely wire (it was a 14k
Christmas tree, complete with presents, decorations, and gem
ornaments, displayed in a glass dome measuring in total 8" high).

i make wire trees by braiding or twisting wire together, and
using one end for sprawling roots–with or without a cluster to
hold on to, and the other for twisty twirly branches with beads
hanging from them. does anybody else know where to find
instructions/examples for wire trees? erhard.

I have a book, “Beginner’s Gemtrees” By Mae Hoskins. Publisher is
JEMS inc., 2293 Aurora Rd. Melbourne, Fl 32935 407 254 5600 Don’t
know if they are still printing or not. This book is about 6
yrears old. Good luck

Lortone (1-206-789-3100) offers a book called Jewel Tree Making
#580-32. I don’t have a price for it but it is a large format
soft cover book so should be quite reasonable. Their website is
