I ran into a German dealer in Tucson who had some very nice Russian
made micro scopes, refractometers, and other gem ID equipment. The
prices were very reasonable, IE a Microscope with a camera
attachment, fiber optic light source, various stages and attachments,
all for under $2K.
The company name is Mikon and the have a web site
www.mikon-online.com. Their site isn’t very good in as it falls
short on photos and descriptions but they may have a catalog.
