Hi!
I feel kind of silly doing this because I’m such a novice at the
jewery business. I have been operating under the name of Just
Your Style since 1994. I have always been interested in rocks
and minerals, and I love jewelry. I also am very creative. I
haven’t sold very much of my jewelry, because I haven’t,until
now, been able to figure out where to sell it. I usually just
give it as gifts.
But, now my circumstances (I can’t spell) have changed, and I am
highly motivated to earn more than my desk job pays.
Anyway, I decided to do something I really enjoy at the same time
that I increase my income. So for the last few weeks I have
researching the jewelry business.
I need to figure out a new name and get a d.b.a. and license
under that name. I also need to get some good suppliers of:
beads and findings, display suppliers, good books to learn the
trade. You know, everything you need to know and have for this
business.
I make jewelry with a ventage look out of crystal beads (know
where I can get some good, small, tear drops?) and any other
minerals that are intersting. I like to use: Jaspers, Obsidian,
Lapis, and anything else I find interesting. On a low invest-
ment type thing.
I have been reading a book “GEM STONES” by Cally Hall. I love it
because it gives a brief account of how the stone forms, where it
can be found, and shows a picture of the rock in it’s natural
form and cut.
This is geting to long. Remember when you first felt so
stimulated by this business?
I don’t usually give my real name and address on the internet. Is
it safe?
Thanks for letting me introduce myself and listen in on your
group.
