Greetings to Orchid…

My name is Eve Wallace - I live in Colorado where I am pursuing a
silver smithing apprenticeship.

Prior to this I spent ten years in picture framing, both production
and design, and before that I was involved in textile design for the
fashion industry. Other interests include baroque music
(harpsichord).

I am finding jewelery exciting now because of the interplay between
material textures, colors, and forms. More fun that painting at this
time… all you have to worry about is, “is it beautiful?” I hope
this list can be a forum for discussion about procedures, materials,
and overall design trends. Craftwork goes better when one is not
isolated.
Sincerely, Eve Wallace

Eve,
Welcome! Please drop me a line. I, too, have a background in music and a
passion for jewelry.
