Fusing silver on to bronze

Hi,

I am making pendants from bronze. I tried fusing gold on to them, but
it did not work like silver would. Do you know why and is there a way
to accomplish this?

Thanks,

Oxides getting between the metals… maybe. The right temperature
not being achieved… maybe.

The bronze alloy is i little off… maybe.

A lot of maybe’s Mr Binnon would know, but he will ask for some
specific about the alloys you are using.

Charles Lewton Brain wrote an article about doing keum boo (though
you don’t say whether it was foil, or thicker sheet) on copper, and
if that works, maybe bronze will work similarly. I never tried it,
myself. I dimly recall that it sounded HARD. Anyway, I think the
article is on Ganoksin somewhere.
