French enamel powder

A good friend of mine is a masterful carver of miniature sculpture
in wax, but not yet (she soon will be) an Orchidian. She asked me if
I knew a source in the United States for high grade French powdered
glass enamel. She currently has to import it from Europe. This was my
excuse to extoll the virtues of Orchid to her.

Please do not let me down…uphold the fine things I told her about
Orchid…where CAN she buy this?? It is totally outside my area of
expertise. Thanks, David Barzilay, Lord of the Rings

French powdered glass enamel.

That depends on whether she means the French Soyer brand enamels
specifically David or just vitreous enamels generally, “French
enamel” being a term used by some in the US to describe real vitreous
enamel. If it’s the former I have no idea if there’s a Soyer agent in
the US - if it’s the latter there are several US suppliers heRe:

and you could also contact the lovely Coral Barnhardt @ Enamelwork
Supply Co - they have Austrian, American and Japanese jewellery
enamels
