Food items for use in jewelry

I would like to find an appropriate resin to harden and preserve
coffee beans and other food items for use in jewelry. Does anyone
know what to use and how to do this?

Thanks,

I’ve used a marine grade epoxy based wood stabiliser (very runny so
impregnates things with ease) with good results on dried animal dung
pendants, turns the whole thing effectively into a cellulose
reinforced plastic bead.

The 250ml two pack I bought three years ago is still going strong.

If you need the brand let me know and I’ll see if I can track down
more than just a name for you.

Cheers, Thomas Janstrom.

Karen Christian teaches resin using Devcon 5 and Devcon 20. She has
tested a whole lot of the epoxies and these are the ones she settled
on. We did a workshop with her, using all sorts of stuff to color
the resin, including spices, eye shadow, and art (non-oil based)
pastels. It was a great class (and soldering workshop).
