I had recently raised this issue on warmglass bb and someone
suggested I join the Ganoskin group.
I’ve been firing nichrome wire to connect cabs for a bracelet and am
wondering how I can polish the wire to get the firescale off. I
bought tripoli and the little felt wheels for my flexshaft but it
seems very difficult to use.
I took a jewelry class and used some sort of a machine with a wheel
and the firescale seem to shine much better. The instructor referred
to it as using tripoli. However, my class doesn’t start again until
the end of the month.
I’m willing to buy whatever machine I need – some sort of buffer,
tumbler, etc. Would pickle help?
