people -

this not directly associated with fedex, but about Airborne Express

  • a few years ago there was a hold-up of an airborne delivery truck,
the men got away but were pursued. the men made a wrong turn and must
have gotten confused because this area was a little enclave on the
water with 2 winding roads, so they dumped everything that didn’t
look like checks/money orders/packages next to the little entry
bridge - in the city police jurisdiction by 2 feet - they found the
jettisoned pieces - and left it all. airborne never retrieved any of
it and it just lay there getting soggier and soggier; no resident
wanted to disturb a ‘crime scene’ (by police or airborne?) and before
considering Dhl, remember it’s owned by a German company: Deutsche
Post DHL. is it too late to re-activate the ‘pony express’? no
exhaust fumes from ponies - well, almost none…

good luck -

think more now, regret less later.

The biggest issue we have with USPS in Los Angeles is that half the
time it takes them 2 weeks to get us a package. They “try” and
deliver- which is a blatant lie, because we are there all day and if
we leave we leave a note to deliver to our neighbor or the bldg
office. Their system says they have tried to deliver, but they never
leave a call tag on the door or in the mail slot. Then we go to
collect the package at the post office, we always call in advance
and are assured that it’s there. And guess what? Out for
delivery-again. And again, no call tag on the door, but another
attempted delivery. Drives me bonkers.
