I was in there yesterday. They are selling everything “to the
walls”. The biggest discounts are on finished jewelry, at up to
70-per-cent off. The tools and supplies seem to be about 25-per-cent
off thye normal catalog price. They expect to close everthing down
by May 1, or sooner if sales go well.

It’s a shame to see a business that has been around for over 70 years
go belly up!

I know. I bought my first real tools from them. I must confess, the
last time I bought from them, the order took nearly 8 weeks to arrive,
and it was simple common items. That type of turnaround time cannot
compete in a world of 7 day or less turnarounds.

a few years ago I had heard that Fargotstein’s was bought out by Star
Struck from Conn.
