Another definition of ‘expert(?)’.

X = an unknow mathematical quantity

Spirt = a small quantity (drip) under pressure

EXPERT = an unknown drip under pressure

Lee, to me your definition sounds like that which we applied to 99% of the
academics at a University where I was a senior technician for very many years.
