Experience with Craftproducers shows?

Do any of you have experience with the Craftproducers series of
shows (taking place in upstate NY and New England)? I’ve received a
brochure from them and the shows sound intriguing, but I’d hate to
jump in for the $$ without more from folks who have
actually done them.

All feedback welcome!

Many thanks,

Hi Karen

Do any of you have experience with the Craftproducers series of
shows (taking place in upstate NY and New England)?

My only experience is with the Fall Foliage Festival in Stowe,
Vermont. I have visited this show twice and intend to apply for
exhibition for Oct 2007. I have not done the show yet, only talked
with quite a few exhibitors (not all specifically jewelry). If you do
this show, be prepared to see very expensive one-of-a-kind pieces
exhibited right next to 25 dollar “stretchy” bracelets. This is not
intended to put anyone down. It’s just that the price points are all
over the place. The show is attended by many, many wealthy “leaf
peepers” (and Stowe is very beautiful at this time of year), but also
by normal, every-day buyers (again not meant as a put-down) from the
local area.I talked with a man who does wood-working, a couple who
make fine brass door-knockers, a man who makes masks, someone who
makes copper leaf pins, and a woman who makes quite expensive fine
jewelry. All said the show is good for sales. I looked at your site
and noticed that you show items in a pretty wide price range. This
show could be very good for you. If all goes well, maybe I’ll see you
there!

Good Luck and I hope this helped a little
Kim

p.s. For anyone who would like to combine a show with a small
vacation, this one would be a good pick.
