Everbright silver

has anyone heard of everbright silver. was looking at a spoon owned
by a friend of mine and noticed on the back of the handle the words
F Whitehouse Everbright Silver. my friend says that it does not
tarnish. the spoon came to america from scotland with my friend’s
grandmother in the mid to late 1800’s. wondering if it is a
non-standard alloy?
