Even Matt Black Finish on Silver

Thanks for your advice Barbara - where can I buy platinol? I tried
to buy Rio’s Max Black with my last order but as it is a hazardous
material they won’t ship it to me overseas - it is only available in
the States.

Hi Sarah,

I buy mine from Cooksons Gold in the uk, their web address is
www.cooksongold.com the item number is 998 161A and it is called
‘Platinol Oxidising Solution’ at the moment it is 9.92 GBP. Another
place you could try is HS Walsh their web address is www.hswalsh.com,
they also sell it, but I don’t know their item number. If you look on
their website and can’t find it under ‘Platinol’ try looking under
‘oxidising solution’. Their price will probably be the same as
Cooksons. Whether they will ship it to you, I don’t know, but if they
won’t get back to me and maybe we can work something out.

Thanks Barbara for the info on Platinol, I will try both Cooksons
and Walsh this week and see if they will send me some. In the
meantime I will clean the pieces again and try Niels method for using
liver of sulphur to see if I can get better results.
