Enamels in the UK

Hello there. I am new to this forum but have been recieving digests
for a couple of weeks. I recently saw some enamel jewellery which
prodded me into shaking the mothballs off my enamelling kiln. My
enamels are about 8 years old, and amazingly most of them have
survived the experience. I would like to buy some lump enamel but my
supplier in the uk, has changed hands twice and the business is now
in the hands of someone who knows nothing about enamelling. Very
useful. Does anyone out there in the UK know a good supplier other
than Vitrum Signum? PS. postings about enamel samples are very timely

Hi Ruth - the 2 others suppliers I’ve used (both via mail order with
no problems) are The Enamel Shop in Cornwall (tel: 01566 880092) &
Milton Bridge in Stoke-on-Trent (tel: 01782 274229). I don’t think
their ranges are as extensive as Vitrum Signum. Have you had a bad
experience since the change of ownership? Sarah Wilson was always so
helpful & knowledgable, it would be a real pity if the business if
the service level has dropped.
