Enameling on silver plate

Good evening,

I am wondering whether it is possible to use vitreous transparent
enamels on copper forms which have been silver plated. I have been
using transparent enamels on gold and silver foils applied over
copper, but I was thinking how many more creative opportunities would
be available if I could forget about foil placement and just dump
transparent enamels anywhere I wanted to on the form. Does anyone
have experience doing that? Will silver plating stand up to the
temperatures of repeated kiln firings (~1450F) or is there some
reason that this technique is not used?

Thanks for any help here,
