what size grains do you feel gives best transparency? i say the biggest
(60) others say smallest (300)
I took a workshop with a real master of plique a jour
recently. He is adamant about using the larger size,
60-80 mesh enamels vs. the smallest size. He even
showed us a piece he did using the same enamel with
different spaces filled with different size grains he
had sifted. The larger size grains were much more
clear.
