Egg creations

Do you have a market for your “egg” creations?
I’m sure we’d all love to see some examples of your work.

Jeff To date I have to seek out my customers and do a song and
dance to interest them in my work. Perhaps some day when I am
rich and famous they will come to me ( I wish ). I
make each one specifically for each individual customer. They
take from 6 months to 3 years to produce. I am useally working
on several at once. The prices to date have been as low as
$3000.00. The most elaborat one yet was sold for $127,000.00 but
about 55% of that was my cost. As far as photos go I have them
but I have no Idea how to get them into this one eyed mechanical
demon from hell. I have a hard enough time trying to learn
jewelry processes, let alone become a techno wizzard on this
monster. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Ideally I would
like to have all of my pieces stored on CD so that I would have a
stable storage medium. Have a happy Easter Thomas (RED) Ray

There are many places that can scan your photos and send you a
cd. I don’t know them myself, but as I’m preparing to do the same
thing (put up photos of my work on a web page) I’ll ask on the
Art Metal list (a list you should subscribe to) and cc the answer
posts to you. Something you might consider is purchasing a
Snappy. For $200, you get a device that plugs into your printer
port and captures output from a video camera, then saves them in
many different formats. I’ll keep you posted.

Ray: I have a standing offer to Orchid members to do a couple
free scans for the Gallery section of Orchid. If you have slides
or prints I can do scanning and email them to Orchid so people
can see your work. And yes, photo Cd’s are good way to get them
scanned also providing they are slides, I don’t think they do
prints yets…DAve

Dave, they do pictures for photo cds.

I have a very simple solution for your photodilemma: Take all
your photographs that you have saved and bring them to your local
camera store. Tell them you want a Photo CD made of them. Have
them make two. If you think their quality could be improved, send
one to me, and let me refine them. I love computer graphics!
