Dried out flux

What can I add to my bottle of Handy flux that dried out to make it
soft and useable again?

Distilled water

Water.

Water. Then stir well.

I would use distilled water for its purity.

John- To keep my handy flux from drying out and to keep it clean I
always decant a tiny amount that I need for the next few days into a
small glass jar that used to hold expensive eye cream.

If the big jar gets dried out I add water, stir well, seal it closed
and hold it in my sonic to mix it and break up the chunks. The sonic
action returns it to a nice creamy consistency.

Have fun and make lots of jewelry

Here’s a new idea for you. I got sick of that crap bubbling and
popping waiting for it to dry before soldering. Leave it dry
completely. Crush it into small pieces and use it like that. Works
awesome. Heat your pick and pick up the Flux that way and put it
where you want it just like solder.

You probably fire coat with alcohol first anyway right. So now you
just localize where you want it. SD
