Distilled water

#1

Shouldn’t the dehumidifier water collecting drawer be throughtly
cleaned and bleached, before attempting to turn it on to get
distilled water? At the local school I teach at, the water
containers are pretty disgusting, but it’s not my job to drain the
water. Just curious. I can try it on my dehumidifier in the rare case
I need to use it on excessively humid/rainy days.

I would agree that you need a clean recepticle to gather the water
otherwise it is pointless doing so. A condensing tumble drier also
has a decent sized reservoir of distilled water but I dont use it
becuse my wife uses fabric softener/conditioner and you always get
contamination.
