Digital Camera advice

I’ve had a Nikon Coolpix 5700 for awhile. I haven’t used it much
yet, but it takes great pics. There is so much more than megapixels
in determining the outcome of your photographic efforts.

That being said, digital cameras evolve in quality and devolve in
price at such a rapid pace that it’s easy to look at that Best Buy
sale six months from now and kick yourself for not waiting, and you
start giving the stink-eye to your still-quite-serviceable "old"
camera. Bottom line: get the best one you can afford, even if you
have to stretch a little. There’s less chance of succumbing to
planned obsolescence. The D70 today goes for not much more than I
paid for the 5700. Go for it.
