Diamond pacific pixie

Does anyone have a line on a used Diamond Pacific Pixie (4" wheels
model) My daughter lives in a very small apartment and is on a
limited budget and would like to do some cabbing. Thanks for your
help.

Gerry

I have worked with all DP systems, and the Pixie is great. If size
is the main restraint, take a look at the BigFoot, by Diamond
Pacific. It is made for small apartments and shops. Even has a 4 in.
trim saw attachment, amust for cabbing. This unit is very popular in
Japan and with lapidaries on the road. I have pasted the specs
below. I use the 2-3/8" Galaxy wheels on my 6" arbor for small
radius cuts. My hands are alittle big for production cutting on the
small machine. Also, while Diamond Pacific dose sell direct form
their factory in Calif. it is only discounted through their dealers,
like Kingsley North.

In spite of its size, BigFoot actually gives you convenient storage
space for accessories, and other tools. You won’t believe the
efficiency of BigFoot’s size and space. - Its 12" wide by 11" deep
by 6 1/4" high! Stores even smaller at 12"x 6 1/4" x 6 1/4". - Uses
six 2-3/8" Galaxy and NovaWheels in our standard sequence. You can
grind and polish with ease using these diamond wheels - Four wheels
are mounted at once for wide (1-1-1/8") wheel spacing, with the
rapid (no tools required) wheel change feature found on the Genie. -
Uses our standard Spra-Mist coolant system providing plenty of water
to the wheels. - Special pans for using Magnetic Novas are included
so that you can polish flats on the right hand side of your BigFoot.
-Has a variable speed control on a quiet, premium quality, D. C.
motor. You get plenty of power for the job. - A halogen lamp is
standard equipment, giving you plenty of light right on your work
area. - In spite of it’s size, BigFoot actually gives you convenient
storage space for accessories, and other tools. You won’t believe
the efficiency of BigFoot’s size and space. Comes with two 2-3/8"x 1"
Galaxy Wheels (80 and 220 grit), four 2-3/8"x 1" Nova Wheels (280,
600, 1200 and 3000 grit); two Nova wheel adaptors, one 4"canvas pad,
2 gram syringe 14,000 diamond compound, halogen lamp, cab rest, full
size Spray Mist coolant system, and variable speed D. C. motor using
115 V/60Hz current.
