Deer/elk teeth

Dear Noel, There is a discussion, with drawings of suggested setting
procedures, of how to set “Hunter’s Jewelry” in the Brepohl book, The
Theory and Practice of Goldsmithing by Prof. Dr. Erhard Brepohl,
Brynmorgen Press, www.brynmorgen.com. It is also available at Rio
Grande. The Hunter’s jewelry is on pages 448-450. It seems to be a
very traditional setting style for this sort of tooth, at least in
Germany. This sounds exactly like what you have, even including the
smaller size of the Red Deer teeth that Brepohl mentions. HTH,
