Dandix flux

I have started using a new container of Dandix flux this week. When
I opened it, I was surprised that it has a creamy, yellowish cast,
unlike the white color in my previous supplies. (My reaction was
that if it were a jar of food, I would have considered it spoiled.)
I’m not sure if it’s my imagination or what, but it seems as though
when I have finished soldering, there is a stronger odor than usual,
sort of sharp?, acrid? metallic?–can’t quite put my finger on it.
Has anyone else gotten any of this? Does anyone have any idea if
something’s wrong with it, or if it’s a new formulation or what? I’m
concerned about continuing to use it.
