Dandix flux problem

Last week I opened a new container of Dandix flux, and was surprised
at the pale, creamy yellow appearance, rather than the usual white
color. (My first reaction was that if it were a food product, I
would wonder if it were spoiled.)

When I am using it, there seems to be quite a bit of burn-off, very
visible rising “smoking” trails. In addition, when I’m finished and
take off my mask, there seems to be a lingering strong odor–acrid?,
metallic? Can’t quite put my finger on the right word.

Has anyone else gotten some of this batch? I’m beginning to be
concerned about continuing to use it. Any ideas?

Many thanks.

Hi Linda! I don’t use that particular flux but… That doesn’t sound
right to me!

Go with your instincts! Don’t use the flux until you contact the
company you purchased it from! Make sure nothing is wrong with it,
and nothing has contaminated it before you continue working with it!
I always question changes in products! It never hurts to ask a
question!

finished and take off my mask, there seems to be a lingering strong

continuing to use it. Any ideas? Many thanks. Linda Sorensen

I would be concerned and would want to know why there was a
difference in the product before I used any more of it!!! I would
probably send it back, speak to a technical support person at the
company, and get a new container of the flux. Good Luck!
