My work is inspired by my love of stones, ancient techniques, and my architectural training. I create 'structures' for my stones to reside in, using ancient metalsmithing techniques such as granulation, keum boo and chasing/repousee. I love to put a modern twist and style on my pieces, and use influences from color, form, texture, pattern and my intuition in order to make the pieces my own.
Materials: Silver, Opal Dimensions: 1-1/2" x 1-1/2"
This ring features opals from around the world- a large Australian opal with a number of small Ethiopian opals to the side. And complete with a strip of granulation in between.
