For all you jewelers in the Phoenix area there is a metal refiner
you should check you.

They are located in Tempe. You hand deliver your scrap and within an
hour you will receive a check.

The percentage you will be paid is based on the amount you bring in.

I just received 99% for the gold and 96% for the silver I brought
in.

After using other big-name refiners, I learned about Hi-Tech from a
post by David Phelps (thanks, Dave!). They are now the only refiner
I go to. I like their service, they respond quickly to your
questions, the payment is great and fast. Jewelers with small lots
aren’t eaten up by processing fees.

I have been using Hi-Tech in Dallas for several years now. I just
sent in silver and gold and did not receive as high a % as you did.
I received 98 1/2% for 1.32 ozs or pure gold and 95% for silver
28.6 ozs of pure. Is it possible that the AZ office is better to
send to? They use to give you a break down of all the metals in the
melt and do not do that anymore which was very helpful when they
did.

If you have any old gold or silver items that you are thinking of
selling please keep me in mind. I always have a need for scrap gold
and silver as well as some Antique jewelry.

has anyone here had experience using Hi-Tech for refining polishings,
filings etc.? Were you satisfied with the rate of recovery?? Are
they an actual refiner, or a middleman?
