Cutter for Synthetic Ivory

Hello all,

I’m new to orchid. I have a portrait artist friend who wants to do
some paintings on either syn. ivory or bone. She wants unusual
shapes, so I’m trying to find someone who can supply and cut the
shapes she wants. Then, she wants me to make them into pendants to
sell. Does anyone know someone who might be able to help me? Also,
is there a way to coat her painting so water won’t damage it?

either syn. ivory or bone.

If she is OK with synthetic, how about “Faux Bone”? It is a plastic
(thermoset, I think) that looks and works like bone, and you can make
it any shape you want. I have not worked with it, only read about it,
but it looks pretty cool.
