Culver City Rock & Mineral Club's 40th Anniversary

As Show Co-Chair of the Culver City Rock & Mineral Club’s 40th
Anniversary Fiesta of Gems, I cordially invite you all to visit our
rock, mineral, gem & jewelry show if you’re anywhere near Southern
California on July 7 & 8.

In honor of this, our Ruby Anniversary, we welcome Judith Osmer,
founder of J.O. Crystal Co. and creator of Ramaura Ruby (arguably the
finest synthetic ruby made) to our show for the first time. J.O.
Crystal recently donated a selection of Ramaura crystals to the
Smithsonian Institution, the very first synthesized gemstones to enter
their Gem & Mineral Hall. While J.O Crystal has exhibited at various
commercial shows, this will be their first appearance at a
club-produced event and we’re proud to have them!

In addition to 25 additional dealers of everything rock, mineral and
jewelry related, we also feature exhibits (including displays from the
L.A. Natural History and Page Museums), demonstrations of jewelry and
lapidary techniques, games for kids of all ages, and lots of prizes.

The Fiesta of Gems will be held Saturday, July 7, from 10am-6pm and
Sunday, July 8, from 10am-5pm at the Veterans Memorial Complex at
Overland Ave. and Culver Blvd. in Culver City, CA. You’ll find
further at http://www.gembiz.com/ccrmc/fiesta.htm.
Feel
free to pass this invitation on to all your friends and relatives.
Admission and parking are FREE!

As for disclaimers … I am definitely and proudly affiliated with
this premier, not-for-profit event and I hope some of you will be able
to stop by and introduce yourselves. I’ll be around all weekend so
ask any club member to point me out or just look for the woman running
around like the proverbial chicken-with-its-head-cut-off: That’ll be
me!
