Cracked knobs on Little Torch

Hi,

I have the Little Torch (which is no longer under warranty) with
regulators for disposable oxy and propane tanks. I’ve notice both
knobs are slightly cracked. I looked at the brass part of the
regulator and it seems that it goes from the tank out to the hose
without going near the regulator knob. I’d like to know if anyone
has had this happen with their Little Torch and if so, is it still
safe to work with?

Thanks!

You are right, the knobs are just there to turn the shaft, and the
shaft actually does the work in the valve. The cracking handle is not
a problem, at least until the knob falls all the way off and you have
to try and turn that little shaft without benefit of the knob.
