Correct height for bench polisher

I have just purchased my first polisher and am about to build a new
bench for my studio to accomodate it and a few other new pieces of
equipment. I am thinking it would probably be best to custom build
the bench to the correct height for polishing. Now, my guess is that
when I have my hand lined up with the bottom of the polishing wheel
my forearm should angle slightly down towards the floor. Is that a
good guess? Does anyone have a rule of thumb they use for this?

Thanks,

My personal preferance is to have the bottom of the buff in line
with the tops of my forearms when I am standing comfortably. I like
to think that I can see what I’m doing better this way. leaning
forward slightly can really kill your back.

and slighly off topic consider getting a good comfortable mat to
stand on. it will save your back and feet.

my 2 cents, Jerry
