Hi all. I took a workshop recently, during which the instructorshowed us some small copper nails with a half-dome head. They weresimilar to brass escutcheon pins, but heavier. He couldn't rememberwhere or when he got them. I have spent hours online and on the phonesearching for them, to no avail. I've talked to big-time copperpeople and big distributors such as McMaster-Carr. I'm beginning tothink they may not exist any more.
Anyone out there have an idea where I could find some? Thanks.
Here on the island the boat supply shops sell copper nails.
Search "copper boat nails" you will find rose head nails and look atcopper rivets at:

They sound like some of the nails used to attach leather sections tothe wood part of some chairs & other furniture.
You might try companies that cater to furniture makers/restorers &leather workers.
